Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Tourism and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.00% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY), which rose 9.95% or 25.00 points to trade at 276.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) added 7.94% or 1.68 points to end at 22.84 and Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK) was up 7.57% or 14.60 points to 207.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM), which fell 4.26% or 1.80 points to trade at 40.44 at the close. ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) declined 2.98% or 1.60 points to end at 52.05 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) was down 2.67% or 3.10 points to 113.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 414 to 148 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) rose to all time highs; up 9.95% or 25.00 to 276.25.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.54% or 68.40 to $2,626.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.10% or 2.18 to hit $68.20 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.80% or 2.07 to trade at $71.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.89% to 34.34, while EUR/TRY fell 0.61% to 36.58.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 105.52.
