Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr), which rose 3.46% or 0.14 points to trade at 4.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Autohellas (AT:AUTr) added 3.24% or 0.36 points to end at 11.48 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was up 2.99% or 0.06 points to 2.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which fell 2.55% or 0.26 points to trade at 9.94 at the close. Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) declined 2.04% or 0.30 points to end at 14.40 and Greek Organisation of Football Prognostics SA (AT:OPAr) was down 1.64% or 0.26 points to 15.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 53 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.04% or 0.30 to 14.40.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.58% or 14.90 to $2,545.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.67% or 2.03 to hit $73.88 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.21% or 1.74 to trade at $77.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.39.
