Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which rose 4.16% or 0.11 points to trade at 2.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) added 3.03% or 0.05 points to end at 1.70 and Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) was up 2.84% or 0.05 points to 1.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (AT:OTEr), which fell 3.68% or 0.58 points to trade at 15.17 at the close. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) declined 3.43% or 0.03 points to end at 0.73 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was down 3.09% or 0.03 points to 1.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 70 to 49 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.91% or 53.40 to $2,747.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.56% or 1.07 to hit $69.68 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.40% or 1.01 to trade at $73.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.78% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.03.
