Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr), which rose 2.02% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank of Cyprus Holdings PLC (AT:BOCHGRr) added 1.61% or 0.07 points to end at 4.41 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was up 0.96% or 0.10 points to 10.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which fell 8.41% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.28 at the close. Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) declined 4.19% or 0.13 points to end at 2.86 and Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr) was down 3.05% or 0.29 points to 9.21.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 84 to 33 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) fell to 5-year lows; down 8.41% or 0.03 to 0.28. Shares in Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) fell to 52-week lows; falling 4.19% or 0.13 to 2.86.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.54% or 14.30 to $2,640.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.14% or 1.57 to hit $74.81 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.18% or 1.67 to trade at $78.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 102.76.
