Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Semiconductor, Computers & Peripherals and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted added 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Paiho Shih Holdings Corp (TW:8404) added 10.00% or 2.30 points to end at 25.30 and Les Enphants Co Ltd (TW:2911) was up 9.96% or 0.91 points to 10.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Sino Horizon Holdings Ltd (TW:2923) declined 7.67% or 3.05 points to end at 36.70 and Creative Sensor Inc (TW:8249) was down 7.54% or 4.60 points to 56.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; up 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50. Shares in Paiho Shih Holdings Corp (TW:8404) rose to 52-week highs; rising 10.00% or 2.30 to 25.30. Shares in Les Enphants Co Ltd (TW:2911) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 9.96% or 0.91 to 10.05.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.36% or 0.95 to $71.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.22% or 0.90 to hit $74.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 3.85 to trade at $2,673.55 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.39% to 32.08, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 101.62.
